Welcome

I can still remember the first time I saw Chris.  He was standing across the room at Woody's.  My sister dared me to ask him to dance.  So I did and he ran to the dance floor ( O excuse me he said he walked it out all the way to the dance floor lol).  He introduced himself and we started laughing then.  That first dance was to "When a man loves a woman". Two years later, we are dancing all the way to the alter.  We fell in love that first night and a short time later, I was introduced to Kilee his now 5 yr old daughter.  I fell for her the very first night as we all walked through Wal-mart, Kilee and I piled the buggy full of toys for him to buy us and he through them back as quick as we could put them in.

Over the last two years, we have spent much of our time playing at the park, eating at D'Casa, skating, traveling, swimming, and just having fun. He took my life from all work and a little play to All Fun and work when I need to.  We giggle until our jaws hurt and love unconditionally.

We couldn't imagine what our lives would have been like without each other and now look forward to spending the rest of our lives together.

It was completely unexpected.  From what I'm told he bought the ring on a Tuesday with intention of giving it to me the following weekend.  Well needless to say he couldn't wait.  That Tuesday night, I'm running around cleaning the house and he asked me to go get him a drink out of the fridge.  Are you serious?  He was standing 2 feet from the fridge and I'm in the bedroom... So then he runs and hops on the couch and yells pretty please.  Okay, only because he was nice about it, but I still let him know all the way to the refrigerator how lazy he was acting.  Well I open the fridge and there it sat.  TWO Mellow Yellows!!! and An ENGAGEMENT RING not  only an engagement ring but the ring I loved that I never, never imagined he would get for me.  When I saw this I think I almost passed out.  You can see on the video (O he recorded the whole thing) where I began to just slump to the floor.  He then got on one knee and asked me to marry him.  We spent the rest of the night laughing because I couldn't say the word fiance... Although he couldn't wait til the weekend to properly propose, it worked out perfect and we couldn't have been more excited.

Our first trip as a couple, we took my sister and her boyfriend (at that time) to Decatur, AL to the water park.  The first night in the hotel, Chris and I got kicked out of the room because we couldn't stop giggling and needless to say it was late when we got there. We spent the whole next day baking in the sun and playing in the water.

Next was our  trip to Chicago.  It was Chris's first time on a plane. ha ha ha That was definitely an eventful trip.  It all started with the flight being delayed on the runway to bad weather and people that made Chris weiry.  But we made it.  Once in Chicago, we took the subway into the city and walked and walked and walked.  It was breathtaking to see the big city through his eyes.  He looked up at all the tall buildings til I think he got a crick in his neck.  We watch the making of the movie Transformers III.  That was awesome and then went shopping at Tiffanys.  Yup he bought a necklace which came with it's own little blue box.  We dined at many of the local spots and just enjoyed being with each other.

LSU>>>Chris and 3 girls load up and head to New Orleans.  We spent the first night in hotel next to Bourbon Street.  After eating and being out in the cold, I got really sick.  So Chris headed to nearest CVS to get me some tussin.  When he returns he is proudly telling how he got solicited. ha ha  He proceeds to tell his story when I asked are you sure it was by a woman??? He stops and scratches his head.  He wasn't sure. Oh my goodness I never laughed so hard.  The next day we headed to the LSU game.  This is Chris's favorite team.  I'm still all maroon and white, Go Bulldogs but I did for him.  They had a blow out game and the LSU Tigers won.  It was awesome.

Our most recent trip was to the beach.  We took Kilee along with us.  To my surprise she was great.  I've never seen a kid so excited to see the beach for the first time.  As soon as she hit the sand, she just dove in and then ran into the water (still fully clothed).  The following day, we took a ferry to Ship Island.  We buried each other in the sand, walked for miles I think picking up sea shells and playing the water. We both thought Kilee would be tired but oh no.  She was ready to get.  We dressed up fancy and went to the buffet and the Casino.  We ate and then headed walking.  On our last day, we had lunch at Hooter's.  Kilee went to the bathroom and came back with the managers card she picked up.  Chris asked why she got a business card and she said so Tanya could get  a job here and we could just live here and not go back home.  Chris and I shrugged and then agreed with her.  Then it dawned on me why do I have to work, let's just get Chris to work and me and Kilee hang out on the beach all day every day.  Sounded good to me.  But reality set in and we headed on home.

We have also took many small weekend trips to Memphis (shout out bff Faith) and Jackson for Jessica's wedding reception, as well as Pick wick for sis's bday and many more.  Each trip is filled with fun and we grew closer and closer.  The unperfect moments are what made the perfect ones.

Ceremony:

From the night of the proposal, Chris and I knew we wanted to get married at our Church.  After searching for years, we finally found our home at Hope Church. He and I were already members at churches from our hometowns but kept looking for our Church home here in Tupelo.  We found it!  However circumstances prevented us from being able to get married at the church.  Then a blessing fell upon us.  One of the members called me and I wept as I found out our dream of getting married at the church would come true.  I have been in awe watching our lives transition as individuals into a couple and a family through walking through those doors.  Our new Pastor David has helped us to not only open up our home but our life as well to serve the Lord and we can't wait to join in marriage at our church home.

We are once again blessed to celebrate our marriage at the same place it all started, Woodys.  Each anniversary (all two of them and on other special occasions), we go back there for a fine wine and dine experience.  This place has become so special to us.  We love their food, atmosphere, and the memories.
